#247 - The Dormers Wells Massacre

On the evening of Wednesday 11th November 1987, two orthodox Sikhs  (Rajinder Singh Batth and Mangit Singh Sunder) sat in the sports hall of Dormers Wells High School in Southall, listening to the sermons of (some say) ‘self-proclaimed’ Guru Darshan Das. It would become one of Britain rare school shootings, and yet, unlike Dunblane, it has almost been forgotten.

#242 - Meticulous - Part Four (The Disposal)

#242 - Meticulous - Part Four (The Disposal)

This is Part Four of Four of Meticulous.
On Thursday 2nd January 1969 at 10:30am, Alec Vanags got off the train to Mitcham carrying a large and unwieldy cardboard box, which weighing 12lbs or 5.4kgs, roughly the same as a sack of spuds. His suit was unusually scruffy and his hands were covered in dirt, and with his back starting to hurt, he went to the storage lockers, popped in a shilling, and into Locker 424, he placed the box. Inside was hidden the decapitated head of his girlfriend, Nora.
    But why?

Amazing

This podcast is brilliant. The episodes are well researched and narrated. Mike is considerate in his story telling and extra mile (the waffly bit at the end) is funny, engaging and informative. There’s also daily inch for when Mike is away researching for episodes which are brilliant.
