That Iconic Episode
After a whirlwind couple of weeks which has seen the lads brushing shoulders with movie stars and legends of the game, Crouchy, Chris and Statman are back in their safe space doing what they do best….chatting sh*t over a couple of cold ones.

Back stronger
Best podcast out there legend Peter crouch
Used to be 5-star!
Used to listen to every episode, but now I pick and choose and have to cut down the pod to the minimal 20 minutes of content actually available.
The chat about the actual subject is still the classic pod that we all know and love. However, the continuous advertisement of LAOUT in the first series on ACAST, both before and after the half hour of content you receive is incredibly boring. I know they’re wanting to make some money off this which I totally get, but the amount of time dedicated to this type of chat is well over the top and I find myself losing interest immediately. You genuinely only get about 20 minutes of actual content, the rest is just nonsense now.
There’s still hundreds of football stories to cover, you can do multiple episodes based on Crouchie’s time at each club he’s played for. But the chat has become boring, celebrity obsessed and has been played out a million times by other pods. Fingers crossed the boys come back stronger as the pod just isn’t the same since going to ACAST.
And bring back Tom. Stark has gone power crazy and just chats absolute nonsense whilst Dave doesn’t add anything at all, odd decision bringing him on board. Also, not sure why Abs is now involved when they have a podcast with her now anyway?
Also, stop saying “this only happens on this pod” because that’s for us, the listener, to say and not the host. When the host says it, it feels fake and scripted.
Sad listener
Used to love this podcast, the behind the scenes football chat, crouchy always a bit awkward as a presenter, Tom steering the show and not too much Chris Stark. Seems they got rid of the wrong Striker, the juvenile Stark just annoys me without the sense and intelligence of Tom or any apparent structure to the show other than adverts. The bbc ensures that content is quality, not sure it has any of those checks and balances now, just sounds like the idiots that you move away from in the pub now. Downhill in content, and is just pathetically laddy and juvenile. Was once a great podcast, time to move on for me.
