Fab topics! No holding back from these girls
Loving the broad topics discussed and can relate to all these. I love how open all the girls are and don’t hold back on their opinions or experiences.
The only downside to the pod, sometime I struggle to hear all voices. Some are quieter than others which requires a bit of rewind etc. but I’m sure this will get better!
Gotta be honest
Have been loving this podcast. Some of the topics have been great and different and I find the pod on the most part interesting and funny. I have to be honest though, the last couple of episodes have left me a bit “meh”. Firstly it was a let down to hear Queen honestly talking about black culture and expectations of a black woman's body, e.g black women having bigger bums and boobs (as a black woman I can also relate) to then hear Holly say “well there’s Naomi Campbell, I’d rather look like her” or something along those lines. Firstly, I think queen should’ve been given the chance to speak on the topic without being interrupted, as she’s the only black woman on your panel, talking about her lived experience. Secondly, hollys comment just came across as problematic on a few levels. Holly tends to make comments in some episodes that just come across in a way I feel she’s probably not intending. For example, comments about being slim and it coming across as though that’s how every woman wants or should be. I think she needs to be careful when it comes to these types of conversations and think about the audience you’re putting the pod out to. I do want to also mention though, the way in which the girl with the bob (has been a page 3 model before, sorry can’t remember her name) talks about women, womens looks and body’s is really positive and comes across in more of a relatable way for all the body types that are going to be listening to the pod. Comes across as so much more respectful and relatable.
Every Girl & Guy! should listen to this Podcast
One of my favourite podcasts to listen too. I can relate to these girls so much and it's so refreshing to hear real life experiences that I can relate too. You girls have got a subscriber for life.
