Excellent plot hooks and ideas not just for numenera
An immersive, evocative introduction to the Numenera setting...
'The Signal' provides listeners with a fictional news broadcast from within the distant future, science-fantasy world of the Numenera tabletop RPG by Monte Cook. Narrated by the mysterious Vaux, the broadcast offers stories, rumours and gossip from around the world of the game.
The podcast is as eloquently performed as it is written, and can be enjoyed either as a series of tantalising adventure hooks for would be Game Masters, or simply as fantastical and immersive vignettes to introduce and enrich the setting. Though short in length, the episodes feel fully formed and well paced, even if you occasionally find your time in the Ninth World teasingly brief.
Those who already dip into this setting for their tabletop sessions, and those who wish to expand upon the glimpses of adventures-to-be found within will get the most from this podcast. However, those who seek an introduction to the setting, who desire for transporting tales, or those who are simply seeking something a little unusual for their listening pleasure may also find something a little special when tuning into The Signal.
