OKP #34 - Pillars in The Dojo

My Sensei's wife passed away. She was a pillar in the dojo. No need to elaborate any more than that. We all have pillars in the dojo.

    OKP #32 – Jason Perry, Kensankai Shorin-Ryu

    OKP #32 – Jason Perry, Kensankai Shorin-Ryu

I am pleased to present my video interview with Jason Perry, Shorinryu Kensankai.
Jason Perry is the son of Doug Perry, Hanshi 10th Dan, and was practically born in the dojo. He literally cannot remember his first days because they go beyond his earliest memories of growing up on Marine Corps Bases along the East Coast, often being the only child in a dojo full of Marines, Soldiers and Sailors.
He has nearly four full decades of martial arts training, he is a pure gentleman, and a Sensei in the truest sense.

OKP #30 - Michael Hagen - Part 2 National Kata Champion and more

Welcome back to the interview series with Michael Hagen Sensei. This is Part 2 of the series and in this episode, we get to listen to Michael describe his rise to a National Team Kata Champion and his competition in the WKF. Although by listening to Michael talk you would never know he is a multi-time Team USA National Champion. He definitely maintains the humble attitude of a beginner’s mind.

Please enjoy Part 2 with Michael Hagen, Sensei.
