Every week we bring you the latest news in Movies and Television. It's friends getting together and talking about what they love or hate in the genre. We aren't experts, we're not critics, we're not writers but we are FANS! We're called The Leftovers for a reason. We're like Danny DeVito in Twins. All the talent and originality went into the other podcasts. All the crap that was left over...went into what you listen to on this show.
We talk about the latest movies in MARVEL like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. DC movies like The Batman, The Flash, Black Adam. And all the STAR WARS movies. But we also cover other blockbusters and don't shy away from indie films as well. We breakdown and discuss new trailers for upcoming movies. And we got you covered in television with shows like Moon Knight, The Boys, Umbrella Academy, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, The Mandalorian, Halo, The Last of Us, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Loki, Secret Invasion Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, The Book of Boba Fett, Peacemaker, The Walking Dead and more.
We love to review the first episodes of most shows and let you know if it's worth your time. So strap yourself in and have a good time! Strap yourself in? Really? Just listen. No straps required. Unless you're into that sort of thing. Episode 456: The Flash 2023 (SPOILERS)

Episode 456: The Flash 2023 (SPOILERS)

Welcome to our review for THE FLASH. We are joined by Philip Guillet as well as Joe Vitale from The Vintage Geeks Podcast.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents “The Flash,” directed by Andy Muschietti (the “IT” films, “Mama”). Ezra Miller reprises their role as Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film.Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?“The Flash” ensemble also includes rising star Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon (“Bullet Train,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”), Ron Livingston (“Loudermilk,” “The Conjuring”), Maribel Verdú (“Elite,” “Y tu mamá también”), Kiersey Clemons (“Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” “Sweetheart”), Antje Traue (“King of Ravens,” “Man of Steel”) and Michael Keaton (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Batman”).“The Flash” is produced by Barbara Muschietti (the “IT” films, “Mama”) and Michael Disco (“Rampage,” “San Andreas”). The screenplay is by Christina Hodson (“Birds of Prey,” “Bumblebee”), with a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein (“Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming”) and Joby Harold (“Transformers:Rise of the Beasts,” “Army of the Dead”), based on characters from DC. The executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Marianne Jenkins.Joining director Muschietti behind the camera are director of photography Henry Braham (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “The Suicide Squad”), production designer Paul Denham Austerberry (“IT Chapter Two,” “The Shape of Water”), editors Jason Ballantine (the “IT” films, “The Great Gatsby”) and Paul Machliss (“The Gentlemen,” “Baby Driver”), and costume designer Alexandra Byrne (“Doctor Strange,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”); the score is by Benjamin Wallfisch (“The Invisible Man,” the “IT” films).Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Double Dream/a Disco Factory production of an Andy Muschietti film, “The Flash.” It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and is set to open in theaters in North America on June 16, 2023 and internationally beginning 14 June 2023.

Utter Brilliance!!

I’ve been listening to PCL for some time and it always amuses me with how candid they are when chatting about everything and anything. It’s brilliant and makes my journeys into work go so much quicker and I wonder if anyone else who looks at me whilst I’m listening, thinks...what the hell is he smiling about so bloody early in the morning!! Keep up the great work (though I’m sure you guys don’t think it’s such a chore)....One of my favourite pod casts.

Adolescent audio corruption

Pervasive cynicism with a malevolent undercurrent of anger at failing at life.

I finally posted a review

I have listened to these guys for a long time they were recommended by the guys at nerds of podcast (nerdporn) and never looked back. Not sure how long ago that was but my first flash back is brian and jake roasting jay over daisy ridley pictures from silent witness.
I love the content and humor they dont get to the topics they advertise fast but damn its a fun ride and keeps me entertained on my daily drive to work.

Just want to add this on i know its not a review but i think a email and review in one week is me being greedy. Couple weeks ago you guys were thinking of parts for keanu reeves in the mcu and my first thought was mister sinister i think he would be the perfect bad guy. also you were thinking of good cat woman actresses and Emily VanCamp could pull it off but id rather see Evan Rachel Wood as poison ivy if they are going to have a female villan.

Brian love what you do Jake your a dimond and love all your guests keep up the good work.
From a devoted listener in the UK
