The Last of Us on HBO, Ep 1

Something a little different this week! We are going to start talking about the things other than Potter that are currently occupying our thoughts and minds. Right now we're deep into The Last of Us, a show based on a game that most of us have been playing repeatedly for the better part of a decade. If you've ever enjoyed our banter about anything, and are watching or are interested in this show, this is for you.
This episode is hosted by Frak, John, and Melissa, with guest host Bre!

Great

This is absolutely greatšŸ¤©šŸ¤©

I stand with JK Rowling ,

Very poor journalism

Tedious misrepresentation of the authorā€™s views by hosts who have happily exploited her works for their own personal gain for over a decade now. Not to mention the immense good that JK Rowling has done, and continues to do, for marginalised people around the world. What have the hosts ever done to imagine themselves so very superior? ā€¦ nauseous stuff indeed!

The definition of Toxic fans

This is an ancient podcast going back years and what strikes me is that at the beginning (that is going back 15years ago) the Podcasters are pretty much worshiping the maker of this universe. But now absolutely hate JK Rowling, because of some views she has. Its incredible that they have made a whole subculture out of something that came from somebodyā€™s mind and when they canā€™t agree with them then turn on her. If you donā€™t like the work then stop making the podcast.

Edit: This is the definition of toxic fans. It really is amazing that due to the long boring lockdown you can listen to this podcast from the beginning and notice the change, where they firstly completely deify a person who had an idea and wrote it down and ended up being a bit successful. J K Rowling is a human being for goodness sakes though. Not all human beings have the same views as each other. She is not the Messiah or a God but these mindless people donā€™t get it and use her, some get famous and make money off her, build her up and when they realise that sheā€™s a human being - they metaphorically eat her. Makes quite a good story actually. Almost as good as a boy who lives in a cupboard under the stairs turns out to be magical. Really quit it now, you vultures!
