E128 - BUSL: The Future of University Swimming?

E128 - BUSL: The Future of University Swimming?

This week on the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we are talking with the founders of the British University Swimming League (BUSL).

BUSL has been inspired by the NCAAs and the NFL structure with teams allocated into conferences, mini leagues, and compete in duel meets to qualify for the BUSL National Final.

The BUSL is intended to be a fun and competitive addition to the scarce university swimming schedule as a complement to BUCS, helping keep swimmers involved in the sport for longer than ever before. The BUSL is an entirely student-run league with a committee from universities in England, Scotland and Wales.

    E125 - SWIMMING PREDICTIONS | What's more likely...?

On this week's episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we discuss swimming prediction in the for of 'What's More Likely..?'

Similar to a game of 'Would you rather...', we ask each other questions from hypothetical scenarios and in a very different look at predicting the swimming world.

    Questions include:

Who, out of David Popovici and Kristof Milak, is most likely to hit the most World Records in their career?
If Sarah Sjostrom and Siobhan Haughey were part of the USA Women's 4x100m freestyle relay team, would they beat World Record holders Australia?
    Among many more...

Tune in and let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below!

Great company

I’m a 58 year old competitive masters swimmer yearning to get back in the pool. I cant run - tried that in lockdown 1 and hurt myself , so I’ve been walking a lot, especially up hills to get the heart rate up whilst listening to the podcast. You have been such good company during my land based work outs and it inspires me to get out walking in all weathers (after buying all the right kit!). It helps me to focus why I’m walking, sweating and panting a lot up hills! I’m a backstroker is there any chance of a podcast about backstroke and also about masters swimmers getting back in the pool (fingers crossed April 15th) what to aim for and how to build it all up once again? Thanks for the company keep it up.
