Radio Concrete is a monthly experimental radio show, broadcasted at Resonance Extra (UK), Halas AM (ISR) and Radio Papesse (ITA).

It's focus is on sounds which people are exposed to on a daily basis in a spontaneous and unplanned manner; from the immediate surroundings, the street and the radio.

Fresh raw materials including field recordings of our everyday routine, samples from tv & radio, news editions and advertisements are all gathered on a regular basis and then mixed together with live sources (FM and AM stations and other live online streaming sources) and objects (such as amplified/hacked toys).

Hagai is a sound artist, composer and musician and a founder member of the electronic band Rendezvous

Hagai Izenberg - Radio Concrete #27 (as broadcasted on Resonance Extra on 14/10/2020)

Sound artist Hagai Izenberg is using here an eclectic mixture of recordings starting with a weather report narration by David Lynch , moving into my recording of Steve Reich's "Electric Counterpoint" (taken from the album 33 RPM) and then followed by the sound files listed below. All together resulting a cinematic radio spectacle where "ready made" audio materials are being recontextualised as they detach from their origin.

Materials used in order of appearance:
Weather Report by David Lynch (US)
33 RPM by Yaron Deutsch (Israel)
Los Angeles Police Department (live broadcast)
Do Not Disturb by Glands Of External Secretion (US)
    Airports recordings mesh-up (YouTube)
    Musique Grossière by PARSA (Iran)
In this lingering Twilight Sparkle by Mark Leckey (UK)
The Untitled (August 2020) by Ben Vida (US)
My Little Pony Halloween Spooky Moments (YouTube)
