38: January is for chilling & theres no better time to do what you love than now (one chatty comeback!)

You asked for a chatty comeback.. so here it is! And it felt SO GOOD.

January is feeling different for me this year. I dont have my usual 'get up and grind' mood. Its more 'read and finish xmas chocolate' kinda vibes.. and i'm SO okay with that. I do, however, have some 2024 goals that i wanted to share with you, and some exciting life updates!

Some other topics i managed to fit into our 25 minute ramble this time: What im reading, feeling the pressure of looming deadlines, travel goals, work goals, life goals and how i have no idea what im doing but loving it anyway!

Come and say hey on Instagram @rambosphotos

& i will speak to you next time!

37: How to find your niche & grow on social media

37: How to find your niche & grow on social media

There's a big debate about whether you need a 'niche' to grow or be successful on social media, and it's no secret that social media and the way it works is ever changing. In my opinion, the word 'niche' is a lot more broad than it's most used intended interpretation - i like to think of it more as a passion and way of sharing it that makes you identifiable and unique, not an already existing aesthetic invented and made popular by others.

So here's my advice, experience and some tips on why a niche can be valuable, how to find yours and how to utilise it to grow on social media. I also think this outlook can be useful to develop in a lot of other areas in life too, not just social media (incase that isn't your goal!)

The podcast continues (almost) every Tuesday so make sure you're subscribed, follow or liking to stay in the loop!

36: Advice for dealing with PRE-HOLIDAY STRESS

36: Advice for dealing with PRE-HOLIDAY STRESS

Pre-holiday stress is the worst and it completely contradicts the whole point of a holiday! Were supposed to feel relaxed, at-ease and free NOT stressed, chaotic and overwhelmed. So heres my tips and advice to you so you can feel the former set of emotions before your next holiday, trip or even day off!

35: How and where to find inspiration (creatively & in life)

35: How and where to find inspiration (creatively & in life)

My most asked question is 'Where do you find inspiration?' and it seems like a simple questions but my initial answer is everywhere, because I do! But thats not useful or inspiring so I decided to attempt to break that down and actually dive deep into where you can find inspiration. I also did some research on how we work and think as humans (which I find SO interesting) and backed a lot of what I wanted to share with you with science!? who knew!

So this episode is a little different and full of facts, ideas, science based tips, my (non-science based) tips and of course INSPIRATION! I hope you enjoy!

34: My journey, experiences and thoughts on going from having a passion to a full-time content creator - being interviewed on my own podcast!

34: My journey, experiences and thoughts on going from having a passion to a full-time content creator - being interviewed on my own podcast!

The tables were turned and I was interviewed by Jodie McWhinnie about my own business, influencing, photography and everything that comes along with it all!

Jodie is one of my best friends and we hadn't seen each other for almost a year, so there was a LOT to catch up on! Namely, the fact that i'd built my own business in the time we hadn't seen eachother, so she had LOADS of questions and things she wanted to know - Jodie then had the brilliant idea to ask me about everything on the podcast, so thats exactly what we did!

We covered so many things I never would have thought to talk about and im so thankful I got the chance to. I hope it answers some questions about freelancing and photography and influencing etc that you may have had yourself!

33: Do what you love for a living, my advice to you

33: Do what you love for a living, my advice to you

I was invited back to my school 3 years after leaving and having built my own freelance photography career, to talk about exactly that with the current students! It was an incredible and surreal experience for me and I got some heart warming responses and feedback - so here's what I told them about doing what you love for a living and committing to your passions (because passion > safety and expectations ANYDAY)

I think this could help you if you're a student or person at any stage in life looking for that little nudge to push you to persue what your passionate about, despite what feels comfortable or expected of yourself or the people around you!
