    RI Podcast EP 59 - Mike Hood, JDS Mining

    RI Podcast EP 59 - Mike Hood, JDS Mining

    Every now and then on the Ri Podcast I have a guest that gets me a little bit star struck. I think to myself, this is not a person I thought I’d have the chance to sit down with for a 60-min conversation.

    That's where I am today with Mike Hood.

    Until 2018 Mike was the Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He’s advised Prime Ministers, lead engagements around the world, and interacted with some of the top political and military leaders of our time.

    Today he’s the President of JDS Operational Technologies, a division of the JDS Group of Companies, focused on the introduction of innovative and disruptive technologies to the resource sector.

    In this far reaching podcast we talk:
    • Chinese spy balloons;
    • The Russian/Ukrainian conflict;
    • Sabotage and espionage in the mining sector; and
    • Why critical resources are under attack and what industry leaders should be doing about it.

    It was truly a pleasure to get to spend an hour learning from Mike. This episode is a must listen for anyone leading a natural resource company or thinking of deploying capital in these volatile times.
