Informative and Insightful
Both the regular Echo and the Analysing Everton podcasts are well worth following. The contributions to the Echo podcast from David Prentice and Gavin Buckland demonstrate their extensive and insider knowledge of the club. The analysts episodes with David and Josh are more of an acquired taste, but I recommend acquiring it as most listeners will learn from their statistical insights and analysis.
Thank you to the whole team and to the Echo for providing this free of charge.
Great, but frustrating.
I love this podcast, being a lifelong Evertonian. The presenters are well known within the city, and the club, so there’s no knee jerk reactions. Only issue is the terrible audio. Considering all presenters are based in the city, surely they can do better. What kind of broadband do they have, sometimes it sounds like they’re doing it in the bath, or on top of a mountain. Fix that, and it’s five stars.
Great podcast, terrible sound
This is a tremendous podcast for Everton fans, it really captures the mixture of unwarranted hope and desperate desolation that is the hallmark of being an Everton supporter.
The only thing that stops it from being five stars is the absolutely dreadful sound quality. Particularly, the recorded volume is so low that it’s almost impossible to listen to when you’re driving or doing something other than sitting quietly.
Even a basic laptop or iPad has a good enough microphone to record a decent podcast, The Echo needs to get its finger out and give the guys some technology to bring the sound quality into the 21st century.
