S2, Episode 20 - World Netball with Clare Briegal Qtr Time Podcast

    • Sport

Welcome to Season 2 Episode 20 of Qtr Time, the UK's ultimate superfan netball podcast! This season we’re excited to be partnered with Carbon Jacked.

This episode is a bumper recap of anything you might have missed in the netball world over the past few weeks. We’ll be taking a brief look at some of the international squads for the Commonwealth Games which have been announced so far, including Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, South Africa, Jamaica and Australia, with some further information on the NZ and England announcements. Then we’ll bring you up to date with the results from the ANZ finals, which teams have made it to the SSN finals (plus the news on Netball Australia's financial state.....) and any major player transfer news from the VNSL including retirements and moves down under.

Our special guest this week is none other than the World Netball CEO Clare Briegal. We talk to Clare about growing the global game, when we can expect to see netball in the Olympics, world rankings, the formation of the World Netball Foundation, bouncing back from COVID and looking ahead to the Commonwealth Games in just a few weeks' time.

Today's episode is the final episode of Season 2 of the podcast. It’s been such a pleasure nattering about netball every week since February and we wanted to give a huge shoutout to everyone who has listened in and shared your comments and thoughts on the episodes via our social media. We aren’t going too far away, and we’ll be doing another recorded Twitter space in honour of the upcoming England Roses announcement, so stay tuned on our socials for the news of when that will take place. We’ll also be re-releasing some of our previous interviews which make for really interesting listening over the next few weeks. We will of course be bringing you all the analysis and updates you need from the Commonwealth games starting at the end of July so never fear!
