Welcome to "The Indigo Diaries." Join host Natasha Hickling in the third and long-lasting series: "The World Through an Our Eyes.." This week Natasha is back with part 2 of ‘Pick Our Brain Session’ where she will be joined once again by the amazing Holly Martinson.

Holly Martinson is a former public and private school teacher and has 20+ years of experience in the field of Coaching and Special Education. Currently, she is an Integrative Executive Function Coach with Patient Minds, of which she is the owner and founder.

In this episode, they touch deeper into an area around shame that is known so widely in the ND community… Masking! They discuss masking, what it can cause and the shame around who we are. In the second part, they will give some examples of some small steps that can be explored and tried to shake off the shame and mask to be your true self.

Remember: This will a continual feature episode multiple times a year! Stay Tuned for the next one coming in April!

Compassion exercise:

· Ask what am I feeling? (you don’t need to ask why, just what is the feeling)

· Understand that I am not alone in this emotional experience, meaning there’s nothing I’m feeling that others haven’t also felt before

· Acknowledge that this may be a really hard feeling.
