Season 2 Episode 11: Equity-inclusion for yoga and wellness professionals with Dawn Lister, Daniel Groom and Tristan Katz‪.‬ From The Heart, a podcast about Yoga, Mindfulness, Healing and Wellbeing

    • Mental Health

In this episode we speak to Tristan Katz (they/them), a digital strategist and equity-inclusion facilitator for yoga & wellness professional. They have been featured in Yoga Journal as one of 15 game changers in the Yoga Industry and offers justice-focused marketing individual and group mentorship programs, along with workshops and trainings centered around queer identity and transgender awareness with an anti-oppression and intersectional lens.
In this episode we talk about pronouns and their work surrounding yoga, equity, diversity, and inclusivity. We speak about Tristan's Justice Focused Marketing Mentorship, a 6 month group programme. Everything we say, post and share can have a direct impact on our direct or indirect audiences. This programme is designed to disentangle ourselves from the mixed messages from dominant culture and norms that our society upholds and learning to trust our innate gifts—our skill-sets, our lived experiences, and our intuition and our professional growth. The programme will help others show up in a way to truly serve their communities and to lean in to creating work that nourishes those they serve and are aligned with.
