Highly recommend 🙂

I’m warming to Parcast. Previously I’ve found the delivery in many of their podcasts to be heavily scripted and too rigid - this podcast is very good, though. Very well researched and excellently delivered, it would be nice to hear the presenters ad-lib & not just script read verbatim, I feel it would sound more natural, less forced but that’s just my opinion. All in all an excellent podcast well worth five stars!

Too much politics

This has the potential to be a really good podcast and I’ve actually listened to a few episodes which I have enjoyed. The latest one I listened to is the sons of Liberty episodes and in the second episode of that series the show barely mentions the sons of Liberty at all - I felt like most of the time was spent explaining how racist and evil the American revolution was. To give one example of the off topic content in this episode there was a section on “cultural appropriation” of Native American governance being taken by the settlers and used in the foundational institutions of the US after independence, with one statement being that the settlers took what was best from the Native Americans for their own benefit, anyone who has studied history knows that this is the story of humanity since the beginning - no civilisation has got to the top by not borrowing from others (and what’s even the problem with that anyway?). I think the fact this nonsense snuck itself on to the show makes me less likely to listen to further episodes, since I left the last one with a feeling of “what a waste of time that was”. If I wanted lectured to about politics I would listen to the plethora of podcasts out there dedicated to that topic, but this is meant to be about secret societies and interesting mysterious tidbits from history. Full disclosure - I’m not American so this isn’t about me being hurt over slander against my home country, I just find it annoying when the topic is sacrificed for political point scoring to make the content writers feel good about themselves.
