If you thought season one was bad, well you ain't seen nothing yet. Here comes the first full episode of season 2 featuring the start of our Secret Subscriptions. Your first two coffees should be dropping through the post in the coming days. Or who knows, maybe even this morning. We went all out and sent 'em first class so I think it'll be Thursday morning. So all you need to do is carve out a quiet half hour of your day, plug your headphones in and.....whack the kettle on.
Here's Tony's recipe for V60:
Throw paper in to air and catch it in the V60.Brew the kettle to 95 degrees Celsius or as close as you can.Wet the filter paper and keep your water for washing up with later.Grind 25g of coffee to a caster sugar consistency.Put the coffee in the paper and make an indent in the centre, like a little coffee well.Start your timer and pour in around 50ml (that's 50g) of water from your kettle, trying to cover all the coffee. Leave it for 30 seconds to let Orlando Bloom.Working in a spiral from the outside towards the middle, slowly pour over more water from your kettle and keep pouring slowly in the middle until you reach 500ml (500g) in total.If it fills up too fast, then sloooowww dowwwwn. If it's still filling up to fast, stop and just carry on when you've got some more space. Try grinding a bit coarser next time. All the water should have magically turned in to coffee after around 3-4mins. Tadaaaa!
