EP 67: Dorie Clark Drops Truth Bombs About Playing the Long Game and How to Make Your Own Luck
What are you willing to do to get to what you really want? And how many times are you willing...
Pia's got my business's back!
As a first-time fifty-something solopreneur, I found myself paralysed by all the advice out there. Pia is that tough-talking honest best friend that won't let your business go out the door in that dress that does it no favours, or keep calling the aloof boyfriend. Her no-bs honesty has saved me wasting hours on chasing the wrong clients and branding my business in the wrong way. Instead, I know exactly what to do - and just as importantly what not to do, to brand my business and land excellent clients.
Superb business advice with no BS
Pia has been on my radar for a few years now and I’ve followed her FB advice and reaped great rewards and learnt a lot.
Her podcast takes things to another level and I highly recommend subscribing and listening multiple times as there will be gems that you will discover at different times of your business life
If you listen to one podcast, make it this.
Pia Silva’s Badass Your Brand book was a game changer for the direction of my business: pulling off the feat of being direct, disruptive, in-your-face and challenging the status quo, while inspiring, motivating, reassuring, and encouraging readers at the same time...something I can’t say of any other business book I’ve read. It came at exactly the right time for my business: I was restless and thinking seriously about a change of direction, but lacked the courage I needed to jump. It gave me that, but, crucially, not couched in the glib, forgettable “Hey, follow your dreams” glitter-and-unicorns of so many trainers out there. This is serious, powerful stuff for serious businesses, and has delivered so many nail-on-the-head, light bulb moments for me that Pia’s material has pretty much become my go-to for business and brand advice. Her Bootcamp should be mandatory for all small businesses! So it’ll come as no surprise that I’m giving a big, wholehearted 5 stars to this podcast...
