The music in Wim Wenders’ Perfect Days - with Milena Fessman

The music in Wim Wenders’ Perfect Days - with Milena Fessman

This episode is about the Oscar-nominated film Perfect Days from director Wim Wenders. The film follows the simple, quiet and daily routine of Hirayama, a man in Tokyo who cleans unique toilets designed by architects, dotted throughout the city. The music in this film is central to the film, giving us a glimpse into the unexpressed sides of Hirayama; the person he is, and maybe even the young man he once was.

This episode’s guest is Milena Fessman, a veteran music supervisor and radio DJ based in Berlin. She currently hosts her own weekly show for Radio Eins/RBB called ‘Free Falling’ and in 1989 she founded Cinesong. Milena Fessmann teaches music supervision and copyright clearing at DFFB Berlin, KHM and Filmuni Babelsberg and is advisory board member of the World Soundtrack Academy.

The music in 'ROCKS' with Connie Farr

This is an edit of the first Sounds Seen show for Know Wave [ know-wave.com ]

For this episode we look at the music in the BAFTA-winning film Rocks by Sarah Gavron with music supervisor Connie Farr, of ThinkSync Music. Sounds Seen looks for the transcendent moments we experience when we connect the music we hear with the visuals we see. The marriage of music with film brings two great art forms together to create a whole new emotional valence.

You can watch Rocks on Netflix UK

Biketsyl ,

An incredible podcast

Raf takes us through various guests into the confidential and little known world of music supervisors. The podcast is full of anecdotes and leaves us wanting more. Probably one of the best podcasts in the business.
