Spring Budget Special + Kyalo goes crazy with the Pensions taper The Young Fabians Podcast

    • Government

Rishi Sunak had his maiden budget speech yesterday, and of course we had to get together and do some appropriately Fabian analysis on it. Led by YF and economist Jeevun Sandher and Pensions Actuary Kyalo Burt-Fulcher, they discussed the headline spend pledges, measures to fight Covid-19, some of Dominic Cummings’pet projects (Maths Academies anyone?) and what it all means in the current political climate. Plus that Corbyn speech. They’re joined by producer Carolina Saludes, and YF and musician Tom Platter.
Please do tune in whatever your prior knowledge, we ai to make it understandable and inclusive for all.  To all our female listeners: we want you in our podcast, so if you’re passionate about a topic just get in touch with us at podcast@youngfabians.org.uk. We want to hear from you.
This episode was recorded on Wednesday 11th March in London, the evening of the budget. Anything new that came after that we were oblivious to
