Customer Reviews
Very Interesting
This is an important piece of journalistic work. In this day and age it is clearly dangerous to believe what you see on social media.
I think this is a good case to put a spotlight on misinformation as so many people are aware of the case.
Not sure if the reviews who claim bias listened to the whole podcast as it seems to me that the Depp side did seek to spread misinformation in the US trial!
You already have an opinion but you probably don’t know why
Even without listening to this, you probably have a view. This podcast is obviously about the Depp trials in the UK and US but it also isn’t. It’s about how social media is used to manipulate opinion, sometimes with intent, sometimes not. Sometimes just to create division not necessarily to support a cause. Considering how many elections there are globally in 2024, this is something everyone needs to be aware of. It just so happens that this podcast is against the backdrop of a very famous case.
Put your preconceptions aside, especially as this was not instigated by either the Heard nor Depp camps and listen. If it doesn’t scare you, then I’d be surprised.
Not reliable
More than disappointing. I switched off after first episode. The podcast comes with an agenda and pushes the listener to colonise Johnny depp rather than consider the larger, more worrying side to social media and it’s potential reach. I watched the trials at length and full. Amber created the media storm all on her own. It was the first time people could see the real her and it spoke volumes. lazy reporting because the UK case was heavily flawed.
