Everything is on fire as local lockdowns are declared. Tech bros are being tech bros on Twitter again, and the US political system is dying in real time before our very eyes. So, not much has changed since March.

Don’t despair though, because what better way to bring some joy and delight into your otherwise dreary day, than listen to us prattle on about Tech for Good.

We’re talking data and WASTE. And not just any old waste. Waste that the UK is exporting to Malaysia. Never let them tell you that British exports are on the decline…

Someone, finally, on the Tech for Good Live team, has become a bit respectable, so obviously we’ll be talking about that.

Oh, and Google has finally taken some action against the Proud Boys

Guest hosting this week is Sophie Walker. She’s joined by Tom Passmore and our special guest Edafe Onerhime. Edafe is an expert on effective use of data. She has over 20 years of experience working with data in business, for government and with non-profits.

BexWho ,

Better than I expect

So, hands up, it’s Bex. I host on this podcast a lot. However, I rarely listen to them when I’m on them because I was there, so I don’t need to listen again. Also what kind of weirdo likes to listen to themselves? NOT ME. I realise it might be good practice to listen to ones I’m on, you know, to learn and improve… but what kind of weirdo likes to learn and improve!?

But, occasionally, I’m not on the podcast, so I listen. And I’m always genuinely surprised by how great they are. What a brilliant, educated team we have and definitely five star guests.

I do realise that the ones I’m on very well may be pants, but you know, if I don’t listen, I can just pretend they didn’t happen.

Love this!

Really enjoying this brilliant podcast. Not listened to the whole back catalogue yet but have really enjoyed all the episodes I have heard. The 2 special series on the Circular Economy & WorkerTech were particularly excellent - really informative, but engaging & accessible at the same time. The weekly shows are good too, bit more freeform with good banter between the presenters & covering some really important topics in an absorbing way. Give it a listen, you won’t regret it :)

Bloody Marvellous

I love listening to these folks chat about tech and goodness. Nicely done show where they don’t take themselves overly seriously but get elbow deep into some fascinating aspects of the world we live in.
