Leo Quinn works for Better Place, the world leader in ghost removal, but they’re having some doubts about the ethics of their work. They’re building a device that should let them capture the voices of ghosts, to prove once and for all that Better Place needs to start treating spirits with the humanity they deserve – and to unravel some mysteries in the process. Tell No Tales is a serialised fiction podcast — to hear the story unfold, we recommend starting from S1 E1.

Compassionate ghost-hunting with characters you’ll adore

One of my favourite new shows of the year! This show approaches the paranormal with such compassion and dignity, it makes my heart hurt a little. The episodes balance humour and heartbreak so well, but I always finish listening with a warm fuzzy feeling! The voice acting is fantastic, with each actor bringing something unique to the table and the team has a natural chemistry which makes it easy to forget that these aren’t real people!! One of the main themes of the show focuses on the ongoing effects of a traumatic experience for one of the characters. This is handled with so much respect and care that listening to the show almost feels like therapy in itself. I literally cannot wait for S2!!

Rising Star(s)

Episode 1 just released so can only comment on that but so far an absolute must for anyone who is craving that sweet sweet cross between audiobook and ASMR. Not too heavy on the sound effects, but the narrator’s gentle flow of storytelling works well in contrast with the spooky (and occasionally grisly) images the story evokes. Not too sure where all this is headed so early but for queer art I am willing to add to cart!
