Great first podcast!

Dan, Stephen…a great first podcast. I listen to tonnes of podcasts on lots of different topics (mostly geekery) and it is clear that you are both passionate about testing, the testing community and sharing your ideas and learning with others…which undoubtedly is the driving force behind developing great testers for the future.

2013 was a fantastic year for conferences…especially as it was my first year in actively attending any conferences or workshops. I was at TestBash 2 (in my hometown of Brighton) and attended LTGW in October.

The condensed format of TestBash is friendly, welcoming and warm…where you can get to know your peers and share ideas. I’ve made some great connections coming out of that conference and it was my main impetuous for going forward for more challenging testing roles and developing my work ethic towards testing.

LTGW was equally but differently rewarding. Getting to actively take part in some great testing activities, learn directly from my peers and the leading minds in the testing community that were there. Plus the atmosphere of learning and creativity that was non judgemental and allowed for participation. Great stuff.

Keep it coming guys!

A pint of chat, with a conversation chaser.

Stephen Janaway and Dan Ashby present a series of testing-themed discussions, often with guest speakers. Despite the "pub" theme (which is restricted primarily to some ambient background noise), guests are sober and coherent! The informal setting lends a wonderful conversational tone to proceedings; listening to these guys chatting is like you're actually kicking back with them in front of a warm pub hearth. Highly recommended.

Interesting...

Well what can I say, Dan San. What's happened to you :-) You've come very far from the WinHEC days :-D

Keep em coming, would be interesting to hear more of your thoughts over the next podcasts.
