Episode 22: The Church On Ruby Road
Merry Festivus! The Ace Doctor Who few get their teeth into the first full length appearance of the Fifteenth Doctor and the first appearance full stop of Ruby Sunday. We love doing this podcast - if you love listening to it, please give us a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, it really helps! And tell us your Brain Thots @acrdrwho on instagram and possibly on whatever Elon Musk has done to Twitter.
-
Episode 21: The Daleks In Colour
A special Christmas Eve gift / bonus episode as Kamal and James are joined by friend of the show Ash to discuss the colorised blockbuster treatment of the 1963 First Doctor serial. You’ll notice the sound quality isn’t as good as usual - sorry about that. It’s almost as if the host who is also a professional sound engineer wasn’t available for this one. We’ll be back in a few days to discuss the Xmas Day special - with Paul back in the hot seat! Find us on @acedrwho on instagram and, I guess, also the hellsite run by the lonely right wing billionaire.
-
Episode 20: The Giggle
We review the last of the 60th Anniversary specials, The Giggle, featuring an excellent guest performance from Kraftwerk’s Florian Schneider. We discuss (spoilers, obviously) the first appearance of the 15th Doctor, the return of a character last seen in 1966, and the title sequence to K9 & Company. We’re having such a great time reviving this podcast that we’re not gonna wait til the Christmas special to pod again: look out for us next week when we grapple with The Daleks in Colour. Do give us a review or a rating if you’re enjoying our return - spread the word! And we’re @acedrwho on instagram.
-
Episode 19: Wild Blue Yonder
A multi timezone episode this week, as Kamal and Paul (London, lunchline) and James (Nikko, evening) discuss duality, expectations, and what the entire population of Japan thinks of Doctor Who based on the opinion of exactly one person.
You can follow us on Instagram now! Our handle is @acedrwho. Please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify if you like us, it really helps spread the word.
Also, for clarity’s sake, the car mentioned was parked outside a house in Chapel St Leonards, not Skegness. -
Episode 18: The Star Beast
Did you miss us? The Ace Doctor Who Podcast returns with a brand new co-host, Mr Kamal Latif, joining James and Paul for a brand new Who era. This week, we discuss the first 60th Anniversary Special, the return of Tennant, Tate, and Davies, and - yep, we said it - how Doctor Who looks like it might be good again.

Revolution of the Daleks
We’re back, to discuss the New Year’s Day episode starring Jodi Whittaker as the Doctor and Chris Noth as Sir Kier Starmer. Paul and James discuss Captain Jack, the fam, creeping neo-fascism, and whether trying to become a writer yourself makes you less harsh on Chris Chibnall.
We are happy to be back after our latest hiatus. I have photoshopped my new head onto our cover art to celebrate. You can find all our old episodes on acedoctorwhopodcast.com and see us on Twitter @acedrwho. Happy New Year everyone!

Look Who’s back
They’re back, just in time for the new (old) doctor. Love this pod, a detailed and amusing deep dive into episodes of Who. These guys really know their stuff - marvel at their knowledge of all things sci fi (and sound design). Like the show, the pod’s cosy, quirky and British. Enjoy.
Just what the Doctor ordered
This is the podcast we all need in these dark, lonely pandemic times. It’s funny, insightful, and brimming with references so broad, random and genius you know you’re listening to 2 Dr Who fans with a lot to say about Who and each episode’s place in the Whoniverse and our world in general. You’ll get amusing sound effects, anecdotes and most importantly a rigorous yet always humorous analysis of each episode, with James and Paul riffing off each other like 2 podcasting axe heroes. I always learn lots of new things about Who, popular culture and the world at large but most importantly it enhances my experience of watching Dr Who and is the highlight of my d things. In thoroughly recommend listening to this podcast. It’ll bring a smile to your face, it’ll make you laugh and you don’t regret it.
It really is ACE
Well done James and Paul, this continues to be an excellent podcast (except now without the bits I didn’t really understand. I mean the cricket) and named after my favourite companion (except Bill. I loved her too. I miss her). KEEP UP THE JOLLY GOOD WORK, you lovely humans!
