“Hobby Friends”
A great mix of content including hobby advice, lore and banter with the addition of community involvement via social media. I look forward to my hobby time while listening to the latest episode. It’s helped keep my hobby going during lockdown. One day I’ll make a hobby hang out.
Easy listening, nice mix of tabletop and lore discussion.
Always nice to listen to!
Highly Recommend
A truly excellent podcast that inspired me to create a 40K army that follows my passion for the lore over pure competitiveness (which is more normal approach to games).
This podcast is easy listening, and after discovering it earlier this year I can honestly say I have enjoyed listening to each episode more than once! Having done so I can sincerely attest that the podcast has evolved over time, by listening to viewer feedback and is better for it - although it was great from the outset.
I have read black library books for years, but only into the hobby itself for a few months. This means the early episodes with the life in the hobby segment were practical as well as useful, but I love how the team recognise when a segment has run its course rather than trying to force content just to maintain a format.
Don’t expect huge guest interviews all the time, it shouldn’t put you off but do manage your expectations if that’s what you often seek.
Instead enjoy a pod cast created by relatable people with a passion for the hobby and it’s lore. They keep things real and grounded, recognising that sometimes hobby has to be put aside due to busy aspects in the rest of our lives.
I believe that this pod cast succeeds in adding something valuable to the community as a whole, and highly recommend it for all.
