A must for anyone who ever watched The Bill!
This podcast cannot be faulted. From the variety of cast members interviewed to the research Oliver Crocker has undertaken, it is simply excellent. It is a must-listen for anyone who ever watched more than 1 episode of The Bill, as many of the characters and storylines were unforgettable. Also some of the more obscure, short-lived characters (well, actors!) have been tracked down and interviewed, and even with these actors the research has still been in-depth; no easy feat I imagine.
In particular, I loved hearing the story behind the tweed suit worn by Dashwood (Jon Iles) and Brownlow's (Peter Ellis) wincing during a car chase as these moments stood out to me as I watched those episodes. I could go on for months about The Bill! Well done Oliver Crocker and all involved.
These podcasts are absolutely fantastic! As a long time fan of The Bill these podcasts have brought The Bill back to life for me. We may no longer have new episodes, but to hear stories from the cast who made the show, has given The Bill (and British television in general) a new dimension for me. Genuinely my favourite podcast series I would happily recommend.
It’s just ok.
