A Dungeons & Dragons actual play podcast. Ancient Brits play D&D 5E as they lurch headlong through the classic Paizo Age of Worms Adventure Path! Join us at our table for a mix of adventure, laughs and hapless incompetence. But mostly hapless incompetence.
Episode 74 – Trance Little Sister
Hooves has plunged our heroes into the void once again. Can they free themselves from the darkness? Can they finally vanquish their fiendish foe? The answers lie within!
Episode 73 – Scroll Over Beethooven
The second assault on Hooves’ infernal shrine has begun! Our heroes put their meticulously prepared plan of attack into action. Or maybe they just throw themselves into a shambolic charge for glory. It’s one of the two.
Episode 72 – Twin Stars of Thence
Our heroes bug out and prepare for their next challenge in the Games. Which teams prevail in the other first round matches? And who will the Flayer Slayers face in the Quarter-Finals?
Episode 71 – Auld Lang Shrine
It’s time for our heroes to take the fight into the unholy shrine itself. But will they prevail over the fiendish Hooves, or be forced to flee in terror like little children? Take a wild guess.
Episode 70 – Ghast Christmas
Hoove yourself a scary brittle Christmas! After our traditional Yuletide rules a̶r̶g̶u̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ discussion we’re back to the shrine of horror. Our heroes are plunged into the void by their demonic tormentor. Can they make it back to the light and back to the fight?
Episode 69 – Here Comes the Hammer
Our heroes are in the thick of combat with the terrifying ‘Hooves’ and his undead minions. Can they survive long enough to unlock the mysteries of the secret shrine and its gargantuan grub-baby?
I played 1st edition when it came out and haven’t played since. I love this podcast as it takes me back
Great fun had by all
Unlike Johnny’s 40 years of experience, I haven’t actually played D&D for about 40years but been getting back into gaming via gloomhaven jaws of the lion with partner and now getting nostalgic pangs to play D&D again. I looked for a podcast out of interest and now am hooked. It’s a very well DMd adventure that you can tell is just a group of old mates having fun. In a way It’s like listening to an audio book but much more fun and you really don’t know what’s going to happen or where the story is going to go cos they don’t either! Would be nice if they put a synopsis of each character and who’s playing them on they’re website and maybe a map of where they are up to but not really necessary as it’s so well narrated you can picture it all in your head pretty well. Highly recommended.
It’s like they were listening in…
So close to what one of our play sessions are like it’s uncanny. Mike does a great job in the DM throne, party members all have their own ‘charm’, and 41 years of experience of course.
