    Khadine Morcom has been a yoga and meditation teacher for over 20 years and has just completed a Masters Degree in Yogic Tradition. In this episode we talk about her Dāśa mahāvidyā course where over 12 months she takes her students on an exploration of the 10 Tantric Goddesses that make up the Mahavidya. These Goddesses have much to teach us about how we live our lives, how we relate to the world, both internal and external and about the traditions that underpin our yoga and meditation practices.     Cycles Meditation

    Cycles Meditation

    In this episode we are meditating on our cyclical nature. We owe our very existence to cycles - the cycles of the moon, the sun, water. And to our inner cycles - hormonal, energetic, creative. We are conditioned to believe that life should be one constant up-swing, to be continual growth, but in fact we are cyclical beings and if we are tuned into the Earth we can see that it is vital to have dormant periods, times when energy, creativity and inspiration is lacking. How can we find momentum for the up-swings if we do not have times of rest. So in this meditation I invite you to embrace your cycles, of life, of nature and know that you are exactly where you need to be right now.
    If you are struggling with where you are in your lifes cycle right now, then perhaps a Chakra Reading would be something that will give you some pointers, some inspiration for accepting where you are and for moving forward. Kindness to the self is sometimes tough to find and so having an energetic reading of where you are will comfort and assist you in your journey.

    Vagus Nerve Meditation

    Vagus Nerve Meditation

    Today we are going to focus on the Vagus Nerve. Why does the meditation and yoga community want you to stimulate this Vagus Nerve? Well, because it also is the nerve that will send the signal to the body that it can rest into relaxation and let go of feeling stressed. It is the nerve that takes you from being in the sympathetic nervous system where we are in fight or flight mode and into the parasympathetic nervous system where we can rest and digest. This is the state that we want to be in the majority of the time but life can have other ideas and many of us spend way too much time in the stress zone rather than the relaxed one.
    We want to improve our “vagal tone” so that we can more easily and swiftly move back into our parasympathetic nervous system, we are more able to regulate our nervous system and adapt to challenges less reactively.
    In this meditation I offer you three tools for stimulating and soothing the Vagus Nerve and hopefully you can take these simple and easy techniques into your life to use when needed.

Roseanne’s meditations are so amazing- her soothing voice is both reassuring and inspiring! I can find a meditation for the right moment at any time. I am really enjoying the talks too and learn so much. This podcast led me on to do her on line Chakra course which has been the best thing I have ever done. It really makes you step back and learn so much about yourself and what is out there. A journey to self discovery. I highly recommend it!

Meditation gems and now with conversations!!

These short podcasts are really effective. Rosanne’s voice brings me straight into a place where I can pause and meditate. I smile when each new episode appears in my library - they’re a healthy reminder to let other more noisy voices wait for a little while.

I really enjoyed the first of the “Chakra Chats”! Fascinating podcast and a great idea. Sometimes podcast conversations can be too long and the podcaster also does a bit of “let me tell you everything I know too”. This wasn’t like that - good length, interesting idea and a genuine conversation. Thank you, Rosanne!
