Episode 5: Judie Russell

Business: The Vidacademy

Summary: In this episode, Judie tells us about her journey to founding The Vidacademy; from how knowing what she didn’t want to do opened up so many opportunities as she traveled the world to being employed in dream jobs to burnout. Judie Russell is an award-winning solopreneur, video coach and the founder of The Vidacademy - a video training company that is on a mission to make video production as simple as creating a slide deck. Judie shows people how to plan videos, film high-quality footage with their phones and edit using groundbreaking software. Judie fell into the world of video in Costa Rica where and since then has built up 15 years of professional experience in video production. She has worked as a presenter, camera person, editor, producer and director on multiple productions from blockbuster movies including The Young Offenders to TV shows including The Fear and all the way to Instagram Reels and TikToks for international brands. She is also a qualified project manager, has a Masters in Business Economics and lectured at University level.

Episode 4: Katherine Dolphin Griffin

Business: Author of Hope to Cope

Summary: In this episode, Katherine tells us how she came to author and self publish her book, Hope to Cope. She shares her personal story, how she coped with the challenges and was motivated to support others in similar circumstances while also raising money for both The Irish Cancer Society and Marymount Hospital and Hospice. Katherine also discusses how the practical elements of achieving her goal meant that she was running a business and how her previous experiences allowed her to meet this challenge. She describes to us how she found support through The Club that was of value to her both personally and professionally.

Summary: In our third episode, Janna describes to us how Sleepy Chicken was founded, the ethos behind the company and how it aligns with her own personal values.
