The Conquistabores A Bad Education

So its a couple of weeks late thanks to illness and forgetfulness but its finally here: the latest episode of The Conquistabores! Yep, as as the weather is on the turn its an obvious time to feel the heat of the summer with SummerSlam 1996! Yep, its a moody Shawn Michaels, lick-able pipes in a boiler room and more Sunny than you can shake a stick at. Is it a classic or is it a bit pants thanks to being in that weird crossover period between The Attitude Era and The New Generation? I'll tell you who'll have some thoughts about that and its Cam, Euan, Phil and Hot Sauce Geordie Al! I mean, thats not a surprise as its always them but still, lets go!

Good Lord, its that most rare of beasts: a Conquistabores podcast that is actually the same one as one thats just happened in real life! Due to a combination of sickness and outright forgetfulness its a Three Man Booth for the Conquistabores this week, which is perfect because this week we're looking at Survivor Series 2002! Where teams of three strive to...survive? And there isn't even a proper survivor series match on this one. But what we do have is the first ever Elimination Chamber match so, you know, swings and roundabouts and all that. But how many wrestling shows that you know of have a man being ELECTROCUTED live on air? How many have ACTUAL GHOULS on the ramp? And what about THE GREAT OZ, surely the most horrific thing in all of wrestling? There maybe some sarcasm in there, or maybe not? Who knows. I tell you who does know, thats the Conquistabores! It's a week late, thanks to a move to university (insert gif of the bad guy ageing to a skeleton from The Last Crusade) but your latest Conquistabores has finally made it; we're going back to 1994 for King of The Ring! Yep, its the WWF New Generation, its Baltimore and its Art Donovan asking how much you weigh. Is that a bad thing? We're back on the PPV road and this week we're back to WCW in 1991. Now, whilst the boys have a great affinity for the early 90s, this isn't whats known as a great period for World Championship Wrasslin'. But this show will be a good one, right? You've got the Steiners on the card, Ric Flair versus Tatsuji Fujinami, a THUNDER DOME CAGE match? It must be a winner, right?
