Vital ingredient of my daily news diet

Strikes a fantastic balance between topical contextual detail and the analysis of its impact on the macro. The recent week-long analysis of populism and the rise of the right in Europe was compelling and insightful. I look forward to listening every day and my only complaint is the absence of a regular weekend episode(s). More extended series (such as the EU analysis) would be welcome - perhaps for weekend format?

Brilliant

I can’t speak highly enough of this show. They take such diverse (always important) subjects from the US and across the world and give each one the scrutiny and story they deserve. Unlike other political or current affairs podcasts, it’s in a league of its own. Even issues you might not naturally be interested in are told in such an engaging way that you find yourself hooked. I find the journalism to be really high quality - well-researched, clear analysis and narrative, politically balanced, and emotionally engaging while being serious about the facts. I appreciate the global perspective -eg. the recent series on democracy in Europe was fascinating (the German presenter was fabulous). The production is excellent. The music is always surprisingly moving. I think this podcast is taking global journalism to new levels.

Democratic debate coverage

The analyst said that the candidates are for decriminalising border crossings. Aside from Castro nobody even thinks that. Even with the required left filter this is crazy.
