The Detective and the Log Lady: A Twin Peaks Podcast

The joy that is this podcast! So wonderful to listen to Stacie discover Twin Peaks for the first time and props to Mike for guiding her (as a fan) without drop pin any spoilers! Two of my favourites from Evolution of Horror and Gaylords of Darkness (RIP) pods chew their way through my 35 year Twin Peaks obsession! We laugh, we cry! I rewatch the entire TP universe every year (and have done since Seasons 1 & 2 first landed on home video), and now this pod will be an essential part of that annual rewatch. It has comforted me through one of the worst years of my life (sudden illness and death of my lovely dad in 2024) and lit up many a long work commute, giving me reasons to smile and wonder! Stacie, your humour gives me life, just the sound of your voice brightens my day; and Mike, please never stop dissecting horror for us! Will be gutted for this to end… but there’s always Stacie’s new podcast and the new season of EoH to keep us going! Stellar work folks. We miss you DL!

This show is bl**dy brilliant. The podcast equivalent of Universal’s Frankenstein meets the Wolfman. My two favourite podcasters brought together to discuss one of my favourite tv shows. That’s not a great analogy but it just about gets the ball over the net. I was starting to resemble Renton from Trainspotting due to the lack of Stacie Ponder on the airwaves after the sad demise of Gaylords of Darkness, so Mike deserves a medal for getting her on this show. Anyway, The Detective and The Log Lady is great and people should make it a core part of their healthy lifestyles. Thank you, thank you, thank you👹

This podcast is absolute gold for Twin Peaks fans of old and for new recruits. It’s been an utter delight to walk through each episode and scrutinise this beloved story. Bloody brilliant!

I think will be the definitive TP rewatch podcast for many years. Stacie and Mike are the perfect pair to go on this journey together as a detective and her Log Lad. Like TP itself I never want this to end.
