The Doctor's Companion: Doctor Who the Long Way Round Dueling Genre Productions

As a legend spreads across time of a prison called the Pandorica, and the all-powerful being that it imprisons with it, the Doctor, Amy, and River Song arrive at Stonehenge to find it. But when they discover, too late, that the prison is a trap created by the Doctor's enemies to imprison the Doctor, the world comes to an end.

When the Doctor and Rose return to London to find the world enraptured by ghostly figures, they soon find themselves taken prisoner by the Torchwood Institute, a clandestine government organization that investigates supernatural occurrences, and who is ultimately responsible for the sudden appearance of ghosts. When these ghosts finally reveal themselves to be the Cybermen from the alternate universe invading this world, a mysterious sphere also at the institute suddenly opens to reveal that the Cybermen have competition for invasion: the Daleks.

As the Doctor struggles to find a workable solution to a double invasion from multiple universes, Rose finds that her plan to travel with the Doctor forever may be cut short.

The Doctor and Rose are separated as they find themselves the unwilling contestants in a series of twisted reality television programs with deadly consequences if they lose. Soon, the Doctor realizes that the Game Station is the same broadcast network they visited a century in the past, now run by The Bad Wolf Corporation and that he wasn't brought here by accident. The Daleks have returned from hiding after the Time War and are using the competition shows to harvest and convert human genetic material into a new army of fanatical and insane hybrids.

The Doctor knows he must do whatever it takes to stop them, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

As she reckons with her guilt over this adolescent mistake, the pair's investigation leads them to find an ancient spaceship in the basement full of evolutionary experiments and a powerful entity called Light.

As the Doctor's trial continues, he demands to use the Matrix of Time to present evidence in his defense, choosing an adventure from his future in which a distress call leads the Doctor and his (as-of-yet unmet) companion Melanie Bush to investigate a series of grisly murders onboard the Hyperion III space liner.

But as it becomes increasingly clear that someone has tampered with the evidence, the Master arrives as a witness to the defense and reveals a Time Lord High Council conspiracy to give the Valeyard the Doctor's remaining regenerations if he successfully convicted him.

With his plan unraveled, the Valeyard flees into the Matrix of Time where the Doctor must follow to face him and prove his innocence once and for all.
