Why to stop keto (at least for now)

Dr. Terry Wahls returns to the show to tackle hot topics like the keto diet and intermittent fasting, discuss whether fruit is really all it’s cracked up to be, and discuss why gluten-free doesn't always mean there's no gluten at all. In 2000, Dr. Wahls was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and within a few years, she was confined to a wheelchair. But instead of just relying on conventional medicine, she radically transformed her diet. Within a year, she’d ditched the wheelchair — and the cane — and was back on her beloved bicycle. She chronicled this remarkable change in her book The Wahls Protocol (which is now out in a new edition). Dr. Terry Wahls is a professor at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, a bestselling author, and one of the foremost experts on the power of nutrition to reverse autoimmune disease.

Life changing

Dear Dr Gundry
I want to thank you for all the information you are giving us about health and nutrition.
I am really enjoying your podcasts and you website as it contains a lot of information. I have been learning a lot from them.
Have bought your diet revolution, plant Paradox quick and easy and you recipe book which I am actively waiting for. My next buy is the plant Paradox because I want to start a lectin free diet.
Was wondering if you can talk about vitiligo and maybe invite someone that had it and now is free of it.
Kind Regards

Cynthia aka Curlz ,

My morning Podcast

I tune in every day!

I've recently discovered Dr Gundry (on YT).

A year ago my blood test showed a very high levels of rheumatoid arthritis factors.
The good news is that I had no physiological symptoms.

According to the doctors that meant that I was likely to develop the disease at some point. They wanted me to start a preventive treatment, and my answer was a categorical NO as they have a lot of negative side effect.

I did some research, looked up the disease what causes it and how to prevent it, and came across Dr Gundry.

I’ve had a healthy lifestyle most of my life, I am from Cape Verdean descant (ex Portuguese colony so plenty of olive oil in my diet) and grew up in Senegal West Africa eating a lot of fish and organic fruits and veggies. I went to University in France and my diet changed. I developed allergies and mild asthma and they have persisted since then.

I went vegetarian 18 years ago (gluten and dairy free), and that sorted a lot of issues like food intolerance, water retention, bowel movement, gastroesophageal reflux, energy level, focus and more.

I think that my guts need more love so I started the lectin free diet and within a week I’ve stopped sneezing in the morning and having blocked nose and itchy eyes.

1 week guys!!!

I love this podcast, it's so educational and should be taught in schools and workplaces.

I am fed up with the farmers and pharmacies’ lobbies. They are poisoning us with unhealthy foods, lies, false marketing damaging the environment and killing billions of animals in the process just for the benefit of their bank accounts.

Oh, before I forget I’ve always seen my mom (80 yo) peel and de-seed tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and cook all the pulses in a pressure cooker.

Ok, before I stop rambling I just want to say Dr G Thank you for all you do.

Sending you lectin free love and a big hug

Cynthia xx

Love it

Love to listen to this, all makes sense. I am a 34yo with RA (since 11yo) and had already started to avoid gluten but now after reading plant paradox & have almost eliminated all grains, nightshades, legumes. Only ‘side effect’ is weight loss for me, I’m very active and always hovered around 62kg but now I’m under 60kg. Any recos - although many have bottomed out! ;)
My latest blood test had one of my inflammation markers at pretty much zero - the dream would be to minimise/avoid MTX (15mg injection wkly) 😍🌱🍳🥩
