Liv Boeree is definitely a leader in her effective altruism drive; she might also have a go at scourging the 'fat cat' charity fundraisers. Regarding her views on aliens, she missed out on a couple of factors that are important. One, recent observations have shown that phosphorous is not uniformly abundant in the cosmos, and as it is essential for life, perhaps cuts the possible number of habitable planets by half. Another factor is water, seemingly abundant everywhere to the extent that there is a danger that rocky planets may have too much.
