Episode 63 - Witches, Midwives, and... abortionists?

Episode 63 - Witches, Midwives, and... abortionists?

Hello friends and thank you so much for tuning in to episode 63 of the podcast. Today’s episode is kind of an extension from an episode I put out last year called Witches, Midwives and Doulas all about the role of midwives, herbalists, and medicine women in the history of witchcraft and women’s rights. Today we’re focusing on another aspect of that role – the abortionist.
I’m going to talk a little about attitudes about abortion and conception and how that affected women and witches, and I’ve got some practical information about sketchy herbs and magic rocks and deities you can use in magic for reproductive freedom!

Episode 61 - Interview with Kathleen Borealis

Episode 61 - Interview with Kathleen Borealis

Hello again witches, seekers, and friends, and welcome to The Fat Feminist Witch Podcast, the show where we do a little ranting, raving, and wand-waving.
2019 was the year many of us had to start asking ourselves – “are healing crystals the new blood diamonds?” and honestly? The answer is both confusing and icky. The truth is many mines that produce our loving rose quartz and calming amethyst are anything but! Do our crystals carry the stain of exploitation and environmental destruction? And more importantly, the f**k do we do now?
This very special interview with pagan geologist Kathleen Borealis is sponsored by the cannawitches of Green Moon Apothecary! If you listen all the way to the end of today’s episode you’ll get a coupon code so you can save 10% off your first order from greenmoon.ca - which is perfect because the YULE BOX is only available for order until December 11th!
Visit Kathleen and see more of her volcanic adventures on http://katborealis.com/!
The articles mentioned during this episode are Are Crystals the New Blood Diamonds? and Dark Crystals: The Brutal Reality Behind a Booming Wellness Craze from The Guardian, and Do You Know Where Your Healing Crystals Come From? from the New Republic.

Tomorrow is the feast of Saint Nicholas which makes tonight the night of his dark counterpart - WELCOME TO KRAMPUSNACHT, WITCHES!

    Episode 60 - Daily Magic + Tarotscopes!

    Episode 60 - Daily Magic + Tarotscopes!

Hello again witches, seekers, and friends, and welcome to The Fat Feminist Witch Podcast, the show where we do a little ranting, raving, and wand-waving. I’m your host, Paige, and together we are going to explore magic and spirituality, social justice, the psychic realm, and most importantly – every single day magic!
Today is a mostly unscripted episode where I talk about daily magic, practicing on a regular basis, and how to inject witchcraft into your daily mundane life. In other words - what we put into our practice, and what we get out of it.

I've also got brand new TAROTSCOPES for the month of december! I pulled a tarot and oracle card for each sun sign to give you a look at the general vibe of the coming month. This month I used the Tarot of Pagan Cats and the Music Oracles Deck, and even recommended a track for each sign. Read the full post on my website.
