Love this review
Great mix of JFK, Sopranos and most importantly, NFL.
Love Lombardi. Don’t always agree but I’d say 90% of the time I do. His on the job experience that he brings to the podcast his illuminating. His understanding of scheme, play calling, evaluation etc is obviously excellent.
But most of all, I love the honesty. Love how Lombardi doesn’t give a crap about egos, old boys network or fan bases.
Calls it as he sees it. Love that I’m this modern reality of everyone worrying about upsetting anyone. Honesty of opinion is valuable.
Really good pod
I really like Michael’s executive based opinions. Lots of good points and a funny pod too!
This Femi guy is dreadful
Lombardi is his usual belligerent, uncompromising, knowledgable, well informed and accurate self. He is top notch in terms of carrying this podcast. The show isn’t anywhere near its former versions. Tate Frazier and Adan Verk used to add valid and insightful comment that Michael could thrive on.
But this version is often almost unlistenable. This Femi guy is dreadful. He has zero credibility and even less knowledge. He makes comments about him being an NFL/football analyst. He clearly isn’t. His knowledge is rudimentary at best, his takes and comments are predictable and basic. He has limited understanding of how teams are built, managed and coached. Lombardi exposes him pretty much every show. Wether it’s his ridiculous Dak Prescott toe sucking or his obvious lack of positional understanding, he often immediately backtracks or tries to fake laugh his way out of his self made rabbit holes.
As an English guy with a good, solid knowledge of the game, who listens to Lombardi for his expertise as a GM and within the organisational structures, I don’t need to hear this novice, low level, almost childish efforts to live in the same stratosphere.
The GM shuffle has been a staple for years, this is by far the worst version rod it. Please VSIN, do something to salvage it. Get rid of this Femi guy.
