The Gut Loving Podcast is all about irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the low FODMAP diet! The low FODMAP diet is a relatively new approach to effectively treat IBS symptoms and is scientifically backed up by a vast number of medical studies.

The Gut Loving Podcast is hosted by Laura Tilt (an experienced Dietitian in the UK specialising in IBS and the low FODMAP diet) and Huelya Akyuez, patient and creator of project sezamee - gut loving food (video recipes and low FODMAP events) after living with IBS for over 20 years.

Together, Laura and Huelya started The Gut Loving Podcast to help others with IBS get clear on the facts - and learn more about how to take control of their condition.

Remember: Don’t start the low FODMAP diet without consulting your doctor or low FODMAP specialised dietitian first. The content of our podcast is not intended to be a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Found what I needed

After being diagnosed with post infectious ibs I felt lost. Sure the affection was cured but what about all of the other side affects? What do I eat? How long will this last? Why me. Thank you for making me realize I am not alone and with proper research and education we will fight this!

Life changing

You guys - THANK YOU!! I was diagnosed with IBS 10 years ago but with pretty much no support from the NHS - mainly because as I’ve found out through this podcast, the GP isn’t result well equipped to be able to support me either. The last 2 years have been hell for me with my IBS and I’ve been slowly figuring out my triggers (but still with so many unknown) and I have been travelling around the world for the last few months and have been in a pretty much constant state of bloat/ cramps / pain which has caused me to take this more seriously when I get home... I came across Laura through a recommendation from Martin McDonald, which is where I then found this podcast. It is so relatable and listening to these i can feel a weight being lifted and I for once am being given the tools to accept and learn about my condition. I’m really excited to be home in April and trying the Happy Gut Guide/ FODMAP diet to manage my condition long term. Thank you for opening up this topic like I’ve never heard before - I’ve been sharing it with my friends who also have IBS.

Such helpful advice! Couldn’t have found a better podcast!!

Getting diagnosed with IBS has been a rollercoaster of emotions and struggling through the elimination phase, dealing with the ‘oh she’s a fussy eater’ looks when eating out, low mood, thinking I’m making it up, thoughts of giving up with the plan and more. This podcast has been like a support group and is massively helping me through. I’m so grateful for all the specialist healthcare individuals putting their efforts into helping with the management of IBS and increasing the awareness of it. Thank you.
