The Gut Loving Podcast is all about irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the low FODMAP diet! The low FODMAP diet is a relatively new approach to effectively treat IBS symptoms and is scientifically backed up by a vast number of medical studies.

The Gut Loving Podcast is hosted by Laura Tilt (an experienced Dietitian in the UK specialising in IBS and the low FODMAP diet) and Huelya Akyuez, patient and creator of project sezamee - gut loving food (video recipes and low FODMAP events) after living with IBS for over 20 years.

Together, Laura and Huelya started The Gut Loving Podcast to help others with IBS get clear on the facts - and learn more about how to take control of their condition.

Remember: Don’t start the low FODMAP diet without consulting your doctor or low FODMAP specialised dietitian first. The content of our podcast is not intended to be a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Really informative but also nice to listen too

I have come to the IBS game later than I would have liked to. After years of thinking there was something wrong with how food made me feel and doctors not really helping me address the issue I finally spoke to someone who seemed surprised I didn’t know I had IBS.

I came across the podcast as I realised I didn’t really know much about what it entails to have and deal with IBS - so far (I am 7 episodes in, in two days might I add!) I have learnt a lot about the types and triggers. I also contacted Laura regarding more information and how to contact a dietitian and she came back to me so quickly and helpfully.

I imagine a lot of people who find this podcast will do so because they lack information about something that is directly affecting them or a loved one everyday. Both Laura and Huelya are honest, descriptive and informative. I couldn’t recommend listening enough!

Good knowledge but annoying sound

SoI came across this podcast by looking at Gut health. I found the information included useful. However, I felt having to rewind and re-listen as the audio and recording is so poor. As there’s 2 hosts, one sounds louder than the other. Too many silences and not thinking of how this comes across to the end user. Lastly, really not sure why you record the beginning with music in the background. Near impossible to hear what you’re actually saying.

Found what I needed

After being diagnosed with post infectious ibs I felt lost. Sure the affection was cured but what about all of the other side affects? What do I eat? How long will this last? Why me. Thank you for making me realize I am not alone and with proper research and education we will fight this!
