Fabulous - has really helped me!

I was diagnosed years ago with IBS, left to it with little guidance from GP and just put up with the pain. Recently it seem to get worse - stress and hormones made my digestion slow down even more and I was in constant pain and discomfort. After normal MRI scan I was dismissed back to my GP again with IBS. I was convinced what I was eating must be the cause but GP not interested so I decided this time to actually investigate further and one night, whilst not being able to sleep because I was again so bloated I cane across this podcast. It was so informative and explained everything in an easy and clear way. I tried a couple of the easy suggestions - drinking warm water as soon as I wake up and eating more soluble fibre but increasing my water intake too. I also decided to try and start the low FODMAP diet and started cooking from scratch - batches as I work full time. Once I got through a few days of trying to shift the bloating the results have been game changing. My gas had greatly reduced and I’ve had 5 days on the trot relatively comfort free - unheard of!! I’m now looking into finding a dietician to help me as I’m not the best cook and could do with some variety although I am eating healthily. It takes some prep to do this and planning ahead but it’s worth it if I’m not writhing around in pain by the end of the day. My GP actually told me not to cut out any foods as it wouldn’t be that but quite clearly there are some that do not agree with me - milk and wheat both being one of them. Have a listen, the tips and advice are fabulous and not too ‘technical’ to follow either. Thank you so much for making this podcast!

Absolutely brilliant

I really love this podcast, the content is so informative but not heavy going so it’s very easy to listen to. It’s great to have such a good source of accurate information in the minefield that is the world of gut health!

Great resource for IBS sufferers

I have been listening to this podcast since the beginning and I can’t praise it enough. It is hosted by a dietitian who specialises on IBS and someone who has had IBS for many years. It goes in depth into what can possibly cause it and ways of dealing with it. I highly recommend it to those who have IBS or know someone who does. I, myself, have had IBS for two years and I have found this podcast to be an invaluable resource.
