Stagnation in relationships: The other silent killer

Stagnation in relationships: The other silent killer

Okay so you know how at the beginning of a relationship there is this huge expansiveness and growth and the feeling like you're starting a new chapter with your life...and then after a while things get comfy and you both get into a routine and because both of you are so comfy in said routine it is hard to continue your growth both individually and as a couple?

    That's stagnation.

Josef and I found ourselves there recently and here's our vulnerable conversation about what we're doing about it.

    Enjoy :)

    RESENTMENT

    RESENTMENT

Resentment is the ultimate relationship killer.

We believe it is each partner's responsibility to take ownership over their own resentment. This is because resentment is a key indicator that there is a need that isn't being met in your relationship.

Advocating for your needs is taking responsibility for your resentment so it doesn't stay under the surface and fester.

However, for those of us with, um, *complicated* relationships with our own needs, it gets hard to advocate for them and resentment builds. all this and more on this week's episode!

    Gratitude

    Gratitude

We get why you think it is b******t, but gratitude really helps.

This is because you experience what you look for. if you look for the good in your partner and in your relationship, that's what you will experience.

"But if I'm always looking only for the good then how will I catch those red flags? Isn't that me duping myself only to get hurt later?"

Great question - we cover all that and more in this episode on gratitude :)

    Love Will Never Abandon You

    Love Will Never Abandon You

This episode was a spontaneous recording as we were talking about how hard it is for Jordin to write her book which is all about how Love will never abandon you.

We go behind the scenes of what it actually means for Love to never abandon you, getting into how that idea manifests in relationships.

We'd love to hear how all of this landed with you! Shoot Jordin an email: jordin@jordinjames.com
