Our summer special: a despot, a magic trick and a star
In a bumper episode, we highlight a summer’s-worth of deeply reported stories from 1843, our sister magazine: we profile Muhammad bin Salman, the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia, who is both a liberalising reformer and a fearsome consolidator of power. Journalism isn’t dead
Excellent journalism from the economist. Informative, none biased, diverse information. I listen every day.
The Title Puns Alone Are Worth It
No better podcast on this app. No more, no less.
Too love break to be balanced
As a subscriber to the paper version and an avid listener to the podcast I cannot help but get frustrated by the constant liberal leanings
Never forget this is the magazine who described Angela Merkel as the “real victim of the New Year’s Eve rapes” in Germany
There is a consistent anti President Trump sneering bias and anyone who is not left of centre is “anti progressive” or “extreme right”
It’s such a shame because the research guests and content mix of the daily / weekly specials ( such as money talks) could be so so so good.
Please - drop the agenda and and maybe just maybe accept that the creation of wealth is what drives a western democracy. Further, it is time to apologise for the craven automatic worship of Obama and merkel - and the sheer inability to call out Biden for what he is - a weak and dangerously out of depth senile person
