Invisible Folk Club core podcasts create an ambience somewhere between a folk club and a workshop. We want to entertain and educate through music and conversation. Egos are parked outside, everybody is treated the same. We do not record in a 'proper' studio, we simply set up the Zoom recorder in a terraced cottage in the heart of England and off we go. It is literally a cottage industry! We create a convivial atmosphere in which the musicians soon forget about the microphones. Then the spirit, talent, skill and enjoyment can shine through.

Jack Harris at the Invisible Folk Club - Part 1

Jack Harris at the Invisible Folk Club - Part 1

Jack Harris is a Welsh born London based singer/songwriter. Literate and compassionate songs rooted in Folk and Blues traditions frequently navigate into less charted lyrical areas and the darker sides of life. As a live act his fluid guitar style, engaging personality and dry humour have served him well. A key early influence was Randy Newman, as was an enlightening Christmas present consisting of Joni Mitchell's Blue, Miles Davis' Kind of Blue and Tom Waits' Heartattack and Vine.

Sascha Osborn at the Invisible Folk Club - Part 1

Sascha Osborn at the Invisible Folk Club - Part 1

Sascha Osborn is a London based singer songwriter. Her tender and reflective songs of life experience are coloured by a palette of folk and jazz influences. A few years ago a vocal folds cyst stopped her singing for 6 months, but this proved to be the catalyst for giant musical steps. A potentially dark period became one of reflection, listening to lots of music, learning musical theory and honing technique. The artist that emerged had found her stylistic voice, a real triumph out of adversity.
