It just wasn't to be, following yet another shootout that went awry for England. Mark Pougatch and Andros Townsend are joined by Gary Neville and Nigel De Jong reflect on what went wrong for Gareth Southgate's men, and assess where the team is at looking ahead to next year's World Cup in Qatar.

They did it. Despite a few bumps in the road, Gareth Southgate has steered an England side to the final of a major competition for the first time in 55 years. After all the criticism regarding their supposedly cautious tactics, England hit their straps in Rome to dispatch Ukraine, with Harry Kane netting twice.
