Coming to The James McMahon Music Podcast... 'Shame' The James McMahon Music Podcast
-
- Music Interviews
Something different to usual on this feed.
I thought I’d let you know that I’m going to be posting series one of one of my other podcasts, Shame, within The James McMahon Music Podcast hub. There’s eleven episodes in said series, and they take in interviews with author and broadcaster Jon Ronson, podcaster and exoneree Amanda Knox, journalist Rachel Cunliffe of The New Statesman and author Kat Rosenfield. There's also TV presenter Gail Porter, as well as lots of others, and the podcast – which originally aired on its own feed last year – concerns the negative, perhaps useless, self-eviscerating emotion that’s used to control us, crush us, and keep us locked in misery.
I’ve got a lot to say about shame, as do many of the people I know. Shame is a podcast about cancel culture, about mental health, about looking for freedom from guilt and regret, and it just seemed daft that the two podcasts lived on separate feeds. Expect a wad of episodes to follow soon – and sooner than you’d think, season two! And hey, if Shame isn't for you, you can just skip these episodes and stick with the music. There’s no shame in that…
