Sometimes You Just Need to Take a Break The Limitless Landscapers Podcast

    • Entrepreneurship

This week’s podcast episode is more of an update around why I missed an episode last week. Although it is a behind the scenes, honest look at life, it will get you looking at how you respond to difficult situations and how to move forward when shit happens.

Last week I had a call out of the blue saying my Dad was in hospital, queue multiple phone calls and a flying visit to Cambridge. This meant that the week was simply written off for moving forward in any part of my businesses.

It meant that I felt unfocussed, mentally exhausted, physically drained and very emotional. It impacted on business, family life and my training too. But, I have decided to not dwell on this and instead look to next week to make sure I am again taking action and moving forward.

I also have removed the guilt and the urge to work day and night to catch up. Instead I have accepted that things happen and we just have to increase our self-care and mindset cultivation.

But what can you take away from my ramblings on this weeks podcast? If you find yourself in a situation like mine or you just feel at a state of mental, emotional and physical exhaustion just take a break. Your landscaping and garden design business will not end. You will not fail. You just need to take a break.

Ask for support, stop what you are doing, delegate and ramp up the self care activities. Then plan the next week to be strong. Look at the first step not the end goal. Just take one small step forward, the rest will follow.

If you feel in need of support in your landscaping business get in touch over at The Landscaper’s Circle.
