Feeling Overwhelmed with Emotions? Try These Coping Mechanisms to Avoid Turning to Food.

Feeling Overwhelmed with Emotions? Try These Coping Mechanisms to Avoid Turning to Food.

We are back after a short hiatus for Episode 16. We talk about how it is important to take a step back to ground yourself when you feel like things are causing anxiety, sadness, or anger. Typically Jacqueline felt these feelings and emotions and used food as a coping mechanism. Taking this break gave Jacqueline some time to really think about these emotions and think about why she wants to eat or turn to food. Taking the time to breathe, get some movement in, crying, journaling, or taking a hot shower or bath are some of the ways that Jacqueline has learned to ground herself and get back to the basics when she finds herself wanting to turn to food. We discuss these tactics and why Jacqueline has really leaned on in these past few weeks while we were taking a break. We think that these are great coping mechanisms that will apply to many areas of life when life seems to be spiraling out of control and you are being overcome with emotions. We truly appreciate your love and support as we continue on this podcast journey! Thanks for listening, and remember It's Never Too Late to Fly! Your HostsJacqueline AdanJacqueline has an incredible journey to share. Inspiration

I’ve followed this wonderful ladies journey for many years. Seeing her opening up, showing her vulnerability to the world to help other people struggling is so selfless and inspiring. I love this new podcast, it’s really helping to motivate myself, to give me the headspace, the confidence to say “yeh maybe I can do this.” It’s also lovely to hear Kevin’s side of supporting his wife throughout her journey.

Today is my day 1. Starting by doing that 5 minutes walking, just like Jacqueline. Everyday I’m going to use the latest episode for reassurance and confidence I need to push myself. Much love 💜
