Would you rather run out of toilet paper or be quarantined with your ex? These two hosts don't really have a choice. Amber Rollo and Gabe Pacheco are two comedians who used to be engaged, now they are quarantined together. At least they have a bidet. They are binging shows to pass the time and keep the peace. Tune in to The Next Binge Thing as Amber and Gabe talk about the latest bingable show, how they are coping and who is still peeing with the door open.
The Last Hurrah
On the series finale of The Next Binge Thing Gabe and Amber reflect on their wild ride the past 5 1/2 months of Quar. There’s laughter, tears, eye rolls, and more laughter. It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter. Thanks for coming on the ride with us.
Air Conditional Love
In this episode Amber and Gabe talk about how there should always be conditions on love. They also talk about the perfect quarantine unicorn and how it sounds eerily like what Amber used to be like. Don't it always seem to go...
Lastly they touch on The Last Dance, the Netflix docuseries about the 97-98 Chicago Bulls team.
Quar Pods and Ghost Stories
Who's in your quar pod? Don't say Amber or Gabe because theirs are full. But maybe you can join Gabe's parents in Wyoming or Amber's family in SoCal. In this episode they chat about Shirley, the new anti-biopic about Shirley Jackson. If the world isn't spooky enough for you right now you should check it out.
The Fog of War
In this episode Amber and Gabe talk about the reopening of the country and what that means for their lives. They still want to see into your living rooms via zoom comedy shows. They also chat about Paul Verhoeven's 2006 film Black Book and how he captures the fog of war. We are in a fog right now and it will be interesting to see how the history books end up being written. We do know one thing, it is always OK to punch a nazi.
NYC is Wild
First episode with Amber and Gabe living apart and so much has happened. Amber is living in a treehouse in an artist loft in Bushwick and Gabe is microdosing while doing his taxes. There are fireworks going off at all hours and it's hailing during BLM protests. NYC is wild.
Police Real and Robotic
In this episode we talk about cops both real and robotic. Amber is uninterested in narratives about police while Gabe thinks they can provide critical analysis and insight. This episode gets a bit dramatic and is the last episode where we are living together. We will be continuing the podcast but now as exs living separately, not together, but still friends.
