A Podcast about all things Nintendo
Rating The Switch
In the last episode of this current run of the Nintendo Village podcast, Gary and Phil take a little extra time to assess where the Switch is at after three years on the market.
Paper Mario & Virtual Console
This week we’re all about the Paper Mario: The Origami King hype! Phil and Gary discuss their thoughts on the new trailer, and then try and come up with the conclusive answer to where is best to play Nintendo’s older games - Switch Online, Virtual Console or Classic Mini?
Nintendo's Financial Briefing
Nintendo have released their end-of-year financial briefing, and there’s some rosy numbers for both Switch and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Phil and Gary discuss those as well as the games they’re looking forward to over the next 12 months. Enjoy!
Streets Of Rage 4
Streets of Rage 4 has arrived and we're BIG fans. Phil discusses his thoughts on the game, whilst Gary has been playing some Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Plus, with the 3DS eShop closing down in select territories, we pull together a few must buys before the service disappears for good. Enjoy!
Animal Crossing and 3D Platformers
In this week’s episode of the Animal Crossing, err, I mean Nintendo Village
Podcast, we’re discussing the arrival of Leif and Redd in New Horizons, and
giving our thoughts on what constitutes a great 3D platformer. The genre is
undergoing a bit of a renaissance with the likes of Yooka-Laylee, Super
Mario Odyssey, A Hat In Time and others arriving recently, so we thought
we’d take the time to nail down what makes a great one.
Nintendo have dropped two major update announcements this week, with a massive expansion of content coming to both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario Maker 2. Phil and Gary discuss both, and take a look back at what Super Mario Maker 2 did better than it’s predecessor and why it seemingly didn’t foster a bigger community in spite of its successes.
